PANJIM, Jan. 18 -- Goa's rising shuttlers Tanisha Crasto and Pranjal Chimulkar along with their respective partners played brilliantly to storm into the quarter-finals in women's doubles event, at the Yonex Sunrise Senior All India Badminton Ranking Tournament, underway at Peddem Sports complex, Mapusa.
Boosted by home support, Pranjal along with her partner T Samatroy from Kerala knocked out third seeds Agno Anto and Ashna Roy 17-21, 21-14, 24-22 in a thrilling match to head into the quarters. In yet another exciting match, Goa sensation Tanisha Crasto and her partner Sahithi Bandi came back brilliantly from a set down to upset the fifth seeded pairing of Shruti K.P and Ningshi Hazarika by a 17-21, 22-20, 21-15 score line.
