Goa, July 14 -- In a major step to improve the Ease of Doing Business in the state, the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has introduced a simplified and fast-tracked process for granting Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) certificates for industrial units and infrastructure projects across Goa.

A circular issued on July 11 outlines the reforms, which include self-certification and third-party inspections in place of departmental checks for projects with a capital investment of up to Rs.50 lakh.
