Goa, Dec. 11 -- Goa Police have strongly opposed the anticipatory bail application filed by the Luthra brothers before Delhi's Rohini Court, asserting that the duo fled India deliberately to evade arrest in the Birch by Romeo Lane fire case, which claimed 25 lives.

In their submission, Goa Police argued that the brothers - who were traced to Thailand after the incident - have no legitimate business or professional ties in Thailand, and their sudden departure was a calculated attempt to avoid the ongoing criminal investigation. The police maintained that the accused are now attempting to mislead both the court and investigative agencies through their bail plea.
