Goa, April 30 -- In a major statewide security operation, Goa Police conducted intensive combing drives across North and South Goa on April 29, verifying a total of 12,828 tenants and domestic workers. The move comes as part of an ongoing crackdown on unlawful activities and heightened vigilance ahead of key public events.
As part of the drive, a Pakistani national who was found overstaying in the state was deported by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Goa. Police also detained and arrested 1,605 suspected individuals under preventive action to ensure law and order.
