Goa, May 19 -- Amid growing opposition to the bandara construction on the Zuari River, local MLA Ganesh Gaonkar visited Falnem to inspect the site and hear villagers' concerns firsthand. The project, which aims to construct a weir (bandara) across the river, has alarmed residents who fear it could disrupt the river's natural flow, impact local livelihoods, and harm the surrounding ecosystem.

During his site visit, MLA Gaonkar engaged with concerned villagers and listened to their objections about the potential ecological and socio-economic consequences of the ongoing construction.
