Goa, March 24 -- Goa's Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte has clarified that the Old Goa heritage site will not be developed into a mall, refuting reports to the contrary. He assured the public that the government has no intention of commercializing the historical area.

Khaunte also announced that the Tourism Department will engage in discussions with the Old Goa Church Authority to preserve and protect the site's heritage.
