Goa, June 6 -- In a significant boost to Goa's healthcare education, the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) has received approval to increase its intake of postgraduate students in several core specialities, including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and general surgery.

Announcing the development, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said the revised intake will be implemented starting this academic year. "It's a proud moment for Goa. This move will enhance the quality and availability of medical expertise in the state," Rane stated.
