Goa, May 31 -- The Ponda Police have registered an FIR against a 62-year-old resident of Pernem for allegedly sending sexually explicit messages and misusing images from a woman's WhatsApp status.

The complaint, filed by a female resident, accuses the man of outraging her modesty by sending inappropriate messages and using her social media photos without consent. In addition to the alleged harassment, the accused also reportedly issued serious threats to the woman's husband.

Police have invoked relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including those related to sexual harassment, criminal intimidation, and cyber misconduct. Further investigation is underway
