Goa, July 30 -- In a scathing statement, Vijai Sardesai has alleged that the unfolding liquor scam in Goa is on par with - if not bigger than - the infamous Delhi liquor scam. Drawing a sharp comparison, the leader remarked, "It's like our Goans are trying to show 'Hum kisise kam nahi'," implying that the scale of the scam reflects a disturbing trend of competitive corruption.

He further claimed that such a large-scale operation would not have been possible without the tacit support or involvement of government officials. "Scams of this magnitude don't happen in isolation. There's always a system behind it, and unfortunately, that system often includes the state machinery," he said.
