Goa, Oct. 8 -- The Goa Kul Mundhkaar Sangharsh Samiti on October 8 observed Tiller Day in Pernem taluka, marking the historic moment in Goan agrarian reform. The event was held near the Gandhi statue outside the Deputy Collector's office, where members also staged an agitation and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Deputy Collector of Pernem.
Chief spokesperson Santosh Mandrekar and Pernem coordinator Dipesh Naik led the initiative, emphasizing the continuing relevance of land and tenancy rights in Goa.
