Goa, Aug. 6 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that the Goa government will introduce a policy within the next six months to provide fish at subsidised rates to Goan residents. The announcement came during a discussion in the Legislative Assembly on the rising prices and declining availability of fish in the local markets.
Responding to concerns raised by Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao regarding uncontrolled fish exports affecting local supply, CM Sawant assured the House that steps are being taken to ensure Goans have affordable access to this essential part of their diet.
