Goa, Sept. 5 -- Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has announced that no school in Goa will operate with a single teacher from this academic year. The state government will provide additional staff to ensure adequate teaching resources in every institution.
Goa currently has around 700 government and aided schools, along with 140 unaided schools. Despite this network, parents are increasingly opting for unaided institutions, largely because they prefer English-medium education for their children.
The CM emphasized that strengthening staff in schools is a key step toward improving the quality of education and restoring confidence in the government-run system.
