Goa, Jan. 9 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday asserted that his government remains firm on the Mhadei river issue and will not allow diversion of its waters at any cost. Speaking on the matter, Sawant said the state government is closely monitoring the legal proceedings related to Mhadei and is confident of protecting Goa's interests. "We will not lose the case. I can say this firmly," the Chief Minister stated, reiterating his government's commitment to safeguarding the river.
