Goa, Oct. 14 -- The Goa government has informed the Bombay High Court at Goa that the appointment of a new Lokayukta is in progress and is expected to be completed within six weeks. The assurance was given during the hearing of a petition filed by Trinamool Congress National Spokesperson Trajano D'Mello, who sought the expedited appointment to the long-vacant post. Taking note of the government's commitment, the High Court disposed of the petition.
