Goa, March 20 -- The Cabinet has approved leasing out the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium to a private party under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that the state is expected to generate over Rs 20 lakhs in monthly revenue from this arrangement.

To manage the project, the government has partnered with Dome Pvt Ltd, a private entity. The move aims to improve the stadium's facilities and operations while boosting revenue for the state. The lease will allow for enhanced utilization of the stadium, with potential upgrades and increased events, benefiting both the infrastructure and the local economy.
