Goa, June 3 -- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Goa conducted a surprise inspection across nine premises dealing in food manufacturing and sales, resulting in the closure of two operations and notices issued to others for non-compliance.

Led by FDA Director Shweta Dessai, the inspections targeted manufacturers of farsan, sweets, chips, caterers, and fruit vendors across Madel, Thivim, Karaswada, and the bustling Mapusa Yard. The enforcement team included officials Richard Noronha, Amit Mandrekar, and Darlan Diukar.
