Goa, Aug. 19 -- The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has intensified its surveillance on Food Business Operators (FBOs) in North Goa, conducting surprise inspections and follow-up checks to enforce food safety standards.

During the recent drive, seven units were penalized with fines ranging between Rs.10,000 and Rs.20,000. Among them were several chicken shops in the Housing Board area of Mapusa, which were operating without the mandatory registration. The action was led by the Designated Officer, North Goa.
