Goa, March 21 -- The Department of Health Services (DHS), in collaboration with the Goa Medical College (GMC), has extended its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AstraZeneca for lung cancer screening. As part of the agreement, lung cancer screening will be conducted by default during X-ray procedures at GMC.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane stated that the department has moved a file to the government to ensure confidential pricing for life-saving cancer drugs. This initiative aims to provide affordable cancer treatment while improving early detection and management of lung cancer in the state.
