India, Feb. 7 -- The Cyber Crime Police in Goa have arrested two accused in connection with a high-value "digital arrest" fraud case involving a resident of Bicholim. The accused were produced before a court on Friday and were remanded to 14 days of judicial custody. According to police, the case is part of an inter-state cyber fraud racket in which the victim was allegedly cheated of over Rs1.42 crore. The fraudsters reportedly threatened and coerced the victim by impersonating central agency officials, creating fear and forcing the transfer of money.
