PORVORIM, Feb. 28 -- The ongoing conflict between the government and the advocates for noise pollution control in Anjuna-Vagator regarding the appointment of members to the Noise Monitoring Committee (NMC) is expected to reach a resolution by Monday. Justice MS Karnik of the High Court of Bombay at Goa has confirmed that the second member of the panel must be finalized by March 3. Janice Crasto, a resident of Vagator, has already been appointed to the new NMC.
