Goa, April 23 -- In a strong statement aimed at improving the state's tourism-friendly image, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has called for strict action against taxi operators involved in misconduct, particularly towards tourists who use app-based taxi services.

During a high-level meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the police and transport departments to remain vigilant and take immediate action against any harassment or unfair practices by local taxi drivers.
