Goa, March 25 -- At the ongoing assembly session, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao has alleged that live gambling activities are taking place in onshore casinos in Goa, raising concerns over the enforcement of gambling regulations. Alemao claimed that these casinos are operating beyond the legal limits, potentially compromising the state's efforts to regulate the gambling industry.
In response, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant rejected these allegations, asserting that the government conducts regular inspections of onshore casinos to ensure compliance with the law.
