Goa, July 9 -- The Goa Cabinet has approved the Animal Breeding and Domestication Bill, 2025, which proposes strict regulations on the breeding and ownership of certain dog breeds deemed dangerous. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that the bill will be tabled during the upcoming Assembly session.
A key highlight of the proposed legislation is a ban on the import, sale, and breeding of Pitbulls and Rottweilers in the state. The move comes amid rising concerns over public safety and recent incidents involving aggressive dog attacks.
