Goa, Nov. 27 -- The Goa Cabinet has approved an important amendment to the state's Compensation Scheme, with Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant announcing that children who have lost both parents will be given top priority in receiving financial assistance.
CM Sawant said the revised framework aims to ensure that orphaned children receive compensation at the earliest, reducing delays and strengthening the social security net for vulnerable minors.
The amendment is part of the government's wider effort to streamline welfare delivery and extend timely support to families facing extreme hardship. Further details of the revised provisions are expected to be released soon.
