The three-day Vijay Merchant Trophy (U-16) Elite match between Goa and Uttarakhand began on Sunday at the BSP Cricket Stadium, Bhilai, on Sunday. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Goa were bowled out for 181 runs in 67.5 overs in their first innings. At stumps, Uttarakhand reached 107 for 3 in 23 overs, trailing by 74 runs, with two days of play remaining. For Goa, Mohammad Uzair top-scored with an unbeaten 50 with six fours to his name, while opener Sairaj Govekar contributed 48 runs.
