Goa, Jan. 12 -- The Goa Legislative Assembly on Monday paid solemn tribute to the victims of the Shirgao jatra stampede, the Arpora fire tragedy, and those who lost their lives in road accidents across the state.

As a mark of respect and condolence, members of the House observed a one-minute silence during the Assembly session in memory of the deceased. The gesture reflected the collective grief of the House and its solidarity with the bereaved families.

The tribute was paid amid ongoing discussions in the Assembly, with members expressing sympathy and concern over the tragic incidents and reiterating the need for enhanced safety measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
