Goa, Oct. 15 -- Following the demise of former Minister and veteran leader Ravi Naik, the Goa government has announced three days of state mourning from October 15 to 17, 2025.
As a mark of respect, all State Government offices, local and autonomous bodies, PSUs, and state-run schools and educational institutions will remain closed on October 15. However, ongoing examinations in schools and educational institutions will continue as per schedule.
During the period of state mourning, the National Flag will fly at half-mast on all government buildings across Goa where it is regularly hoisted. The announcement follows Naik's sudden cardiac-related death, which has left a deep void in Goa's political and public life.
