Goa, Nov. 12 -- A major pipeline burst at the Bendwada Bridge on Wednesday led to the wastage of thousands of litres of water, flooding the entire stretch and causing severe inconvenience to commuters.
According to locals, a Ductile Iron (DI) pipeline of the Department of Drinking Water Supply burst earlier in the day, sending water gushing across the bridge. The incident also caused damage to the old bridge road, while the new bridge - still incomplete after years of delay remains closed, forcing traffic through the waterlogged stretch.
