Goa, July 18 -- In a move aimed at assessing the extent of job creation by industries in Goa, the state government has directed the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) to initiate a comprehensive survey of employment numbers across all industrial units, both inside and outside industrial estates. The data collection drive will for the first time document the number of workers employed by each unit, with a detailed breakdown of permanent, contractual and daily wage staff, as well as their Goan or non-Goan status.
