Goa, Sept. 9 -- Nepal plunged deeper into unrest on Tuesday (Sept 9) as Gen-Z-led protests against the government's social media ban turned violent for a second day. Demonstrators set fire to the residences of Prime Minister K.P. Oli, Communication Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung, and several senior politicians.

The unrest began Monday when protesters stormed and torched parts of President Ram Chandra Paudel's residence. Residences of Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, and Maoist chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal were also attacked. A private school owned by Foreign Minister Arzu Deuba Rana was burned.
