PANJIM: With elections to the Goa Cricket Association (GCA) scheduled for Tuesday, September 16, the cricketing body finds itself in the spotlight both for its internal elections battle and a recent controversy regarding representation at the BCCI.

At a press conference held recently, the Parivartan Panel led by Rohan Gauns Dessai formally introduced candidates led by Mahesh Candolkar for the post of president. Alongside him are Rajesh Patnekar, former two-time MLA from Bicholim and other candidates including Daya Pagi (secretary post), Shushant Naik (joint secretary), Rupesh Naik (treasurer) and Meghnath Shirodkar for member.
