The Goa Badminton Association (GBA) has issued public advisory cautioning tournament organisers in the State against the unauthorised use of its official ranking system. The association has clarified that it has identified several privately run badminton tournaments where the GBA ranking points are being misused to bar or disqualify players, creating unfair barriers for athletes who participate in recognised competitions. According to the association, its ranking structure was designed as an internal tool to seed players and regulates tournaments under its own jurisdiction.
