Goa, July 5 -- Residents of New Vaddem's Ward 23 continue to struggle with rampant roadside garbage dumping, even after the removal of a public dustbin that was once the source of overflowing waste and health concerns. The bin was relocated following repeated appeals and a formal representation to Ward Councillor Yatin Kamurlekar, in hopes of curbing unsanitary conditions and encouraging better waste practices.
However, instead of resolving the issue, the measure has led to a new problem: individuals-including passing motorists and some locals-are now dumping trash directly along the roadside, and in some cases, even on private properties.
