Goa, Jan. 21 -- Four workers engaged in repair work at the Borim Bridge were assaulted by unidentified attackers late Tuesday night, in what is suspected to be an attempted theft of wrought iron from the site.
According to preliminary information, the assailants allegedly attacked the workers while trying to steal iron material from the bridge repair area. The injured workers were provided medical assistance, while the incident caused brief panic at the site.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter and are working to identify and apprehend the attackers. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
