Goa, Oct. 28 -- The city is facing growing sanitation problems as four sewerage pumping stations remain non-functional. Congress leader Nandadeep Raut criticised the government and the Sewerage Corporation for negligence, alleging that untreated sewage is being released into nearby lakes and rivers, causing foul odours and posing health hazards. He stated that despite repeated complaints, authorities have failed to take action. Warning of strong public backlash, Raut said that if immediate repairs and restoration are not carried out, Congress workers and local residents will stage a morcha to the PWD Sewerage Department. He urged swift government intervention to protect public health.
