Goa, Oct. 8 -- Former Attorney-General of India and senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi has strongly condemned the recent incident in the Supreme Court where a lawyer allegedly threw a shoe at Chief Justice of India BR Gavai. Rohatgi emphasized that "courts of law are not meant to propagate religious ideas."
Describing the incident as "unfortunate," Rohatgi noted that it involved a lawyer, rather than a disgruntled litigant, and suggested that the act may have been motivated by religious or political reasons.
