Goa, Nov. 2 -- Pernem Police have arrested five men in connection with the blind gunshot firing incident at Ugvem village that left two workers injured. The accused - identified as Nehal, Ashish, Akash, Rishikesh, and Gangaram, all residents of Ugvem, were taken into custody after a sustained and well-coordinated surveillance and intelligence operation.

According to police sources, the firing had created panic in the area, with initial investigations offering little leads on the motive or shooters. A special investigation team was subsequently formed to track suspicious movements and analyze CCTV footage from nearby locations.
