Goa, May 30 -- Traditional fishermen from coastal villages in North Goa have called upon the Fisheries Department and the Captain of Ports to take immediate and strict action against PNJ boats allegedly operating in violation of the ongoing fishing ban. In a formal complaint submitted to the Fisheries Minister on Friday, the fishermen highlighted the plight of communities in Candolim, Calangute, Sinquerim, and Nerul, who depend heavily on inland fishing for their livelihood.
