Goa, April 12 -- In a bid to enhance marine biodiversity and support the livelihood of coastal communities, a fish breeding initiative has been launched at Arambol beach. The project aims to increase fish populations in the sea by encouraging local fishermen to participate in sustainable fish farming.

On Saturday, Mandrem MLA and government officials from the Department of Fisheries met with local fishermen to explain the objectives and benefits of the project. As part of the initiative, the government will provide free fish seeds to fishermen and assist in introducing them into the sea.
