Goa, Nov. 25 -- Bicholim Police have registered an FIR against Gauresh Gaonkar, 19, a resident of Podocem in Sattari, for allegedly assaulting and sexually abusing a minor in the Sarvan-Vathadev area. According to police, the accused also purportedly threatened the victim and circulated a video of the incident on social media.

The complaint was lodged by the victim's brother, following which police initiated a detailed investigation. Officials confirmed that multiple sections related to assault, sexual offences involving a minor, and criminal intimidation have been invoked.

Police stated that further inquiry is underway and appropriate action will be taken based on the findings.
