Goa, April 28 -- The Karnataka High Court has dismissed the FIR filed against Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan and other senior officials of the Indian Institute of Science under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. Justice Hemant Chandangoudar, in his order dated April 16, termed the complaint a "malicious attempt to harass the petitioners" and an "abuse of the process of law."
The FIR was lodged by Dr. D. Sanna Durgappa, a former IISc faculty member who was dismissed in 2014 following an internal inquiry into sexual harassment allegations.
