Goa, June 10 -- In a continued effort to uphold food safety standards, the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) conducted surprise inspections across Bardez on Tuesday, targeting roadside meat vendors and eateries.

During checks at six meat shops in Karaswada and Thivim, FDA officials found two outlets operating under unhygienic conditions and ordered them to immediately halt operations. The remaining four establishments were issued improvement notices, instructing them to rectify identified lapses to continue functioning legally.
