Goa, June 12 -- As part of its ongoing statewide food safety campaign, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conducted a surprise raid at the Mapusa new bus stand, leading to the seizure of various food items deemed unfit for consumption.

Among the items confiscated were shawarma rotis, mushrooms, and tea premix, which were reportedly being sold without meeting proper hygiene and safety standards. The FDA's enforcement team is continuing inspections across the state to curb the sale of unsafe and adulterated food.

Officials have reiterated that such drives will intensify in the coming days to ensure public health and safety, especially in high-traffic public areas.
