India, Dec. 2 -- In a targeted surveillance operation in Arambol, the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Goa discovered several establishments continuing to operate despite previously issued stop orders. Officials inspected eight premises during the drive and found violations in five of them.

The offending outlets were penalised with fines ranging from 5,000 to 20,000, depending on the severity of non-compliance. FDA authorities said such inspections will continue as part of their effort to curb unauthorised operations and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
