Goa, April 22 -- In a major crackdown on illegal food operations, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken decisive action in Nagoa and Calangute, shutting down unlicensed establishments and seizing substandard goods. The operation was led by FDA officials Richard Noronha, Rajaram Patil, Amit Mandrekar, and Nousin Mulla.

Three unauthorized biryani kitchens were ordered to shut down after being found operating without the necessary licenses, raising concerns over hygiene and food safety compliance.
