Goa, May 1 -- The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) continued its ongoing surveillance drive in the Bardez taluka, inspecting 11 food establishments across Siolim, Karaswada, Colvale, and Mapusa. As a result of the inspection, five eateries were directed to shut down operations due to serious food safety violations.

The remaining establishments were issued improvement notices and given a 14-day deadline to rectify deficiencies. Failure to comply will result in suspension of their FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) licenses.
