Goa, Oct. 31 -- The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) conducted a surprise surveillance drive along Goa's coastal belt, inspecting cashew shops, restaurants, and biryani outlets to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
During the inspection, officials directed three biryani outlets to relocate their cooking vessels inside their premises to maintain proper hygiene, while one restaurant was ordered to shut down for non-compliance with safety norms.
As part of the awareness initiative, the FDA team also distributed informative posters to 10 cashew shops, instructing them to display consumer guidelines prominently for public awareness.
