Goa, May 29 -- Fatorda Police have arrested a man for allegedly threatening to shoot his wife during a domestic dispute at Gogol in Margao. The incident, which raised serious concerns over household safety and illegal possession of firearms, led to swift police action.

During the arrest, authorities recovered a locally made, dismantled pistol along with 14 live bullets from the accused's possession. Police sources confirmed that the weapon and ammunition were illegally held and are now key evidence in the ongoing investigation.

Following the arrest, the accused was produced before the court and has been remanded to five days of police custody for further interrogation and investigation into the source of the firearm.
