Goa, Oct. 31 -- In a heartbreaking incident, a 46-year-old employee of the Electricity Department, Dinesh Korgaonkar, from Assagao, lost his life allegedly due to a delay in emergency response. Korgaonkar reportedly felt unwell while on a break at Khorlim-Mapusa and sought help from nearby residents. Acting swiftly, the locals called for an ambulance, but it failed to arrive for over 30 minutes. With his condition worsening, the residents decided to take him to the Mapusa District Hospital in their private car. However, when they were halfway to the hospital, an ambulance from Porvorim finally arrived. The patient was transferred into the ambulance in the middle of the road and rushed to the hospital.
