Goa, Jan. 23 -- Farmers in Maloli village of Valpoi have been provided with pre-fabricated biogas units aimed at promoting the efficient use of cattle dung while supporting sustainable agricultural practices.

Speaking on the initiative, official Vishwanath Gawas said the biogas units would be both practical and cost-effective for local farmers, particularly those with a smaller number of cattle. He explained that while conventional biogas plants typically cost several lakhs to construct, these pre-fabricated units are significantly more affordable, making them accessible to marginal and small farmers.
